Concerning Windows, could I just take the Windows 10 (especially if free) and see if it is satisfactory and if not upgrade from that to the Windows 12 release scheduled for this year later in the year when maybe some of the bugs are fixed ?Īny other gotchas ? Like Cubase not liking the newer Windows versions ? Or. any advice on updating CB and Windoze ?Īn upgrade to CB Pro 12 is now only $119.99 AFAIK.Īnd an option for Windows is to upgrade to Windows 11 or Windows 10 (the latter being free I believe if I can find my "Product Key", whatever that is !). In learning Cubase watching Youtube tutorials using newer CB versions I have been getting frustrating watching them only to (finally) discover that my ancient CB 8 simply doesn't have a particularly useful feature being demoed, like Zones and Adapt to Zoom. I am an ardent home composer with Cubase Pro 8 and Windows 7 Pro in (obvious) need of upgrades.
